"Today I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my response when I was substituted in the big match," Vinicius wrote on X.
"Similarly to I have already done during today's practice, I would like to apologise again to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.
"At times fervor gets the better of me because I always want to triumph and support my club. My competitive character comes from the affection I hold for this institution and each thing it represents."

In his most recent post on social media, he said: "I promise to keep battling constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the very beginning."
